一向自信破表的勇士隊前鋒格林，昨天再度口出豪言，認為自己就是聯盟最佳球員之一，而且自信「無人可以否認」。
即便格林的光芒和得分是在杜蘭特、柯瑞和湯普森之後，但無損對於自己的信心，他說：「我會每場拿卅分嗎？不會，即便我不是ＮＢＡ最佳得分手，我仍是聯盟最好球員之一，任何人都應該相信這一點。」
在勇士本季換來杜蘭特之後，格林平均十點九得分寫下過去三季最低，但平均十點一籃板是生涯最佳，同時還有與上季相去不遠的七點一助攻和一點六火鍋。
他強調，自己的貢獻絕對不是在得分上，「有些我選擇不出手，但我想這是籃球智慧的一部份，就像是我和杜蘭特同時有空檔，只要夠聰明，我一定會把球給他投；如果像是我和柯瑞、湯普森同時都有空檔，有點常識也知道該怎麼做，並非我不出手，這就是我打球的方式。」
格林的好，連隊友都讚不絕口，柯瑞說：「格林有太多無形的資產，無論是抄到一個球，一對一防守，轉換快攻或是傳球，他總是有辦法找到幫球隊創造得分的本事。無論在禁區或哪個位置，他都有辦法讓團隊進攻變得更流暢。」
